Introduction

Act@Play Expression of Interest

Council is excited to partner with Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) to deliver the Act@Play program to sporting clubs in the Northern Grampians.

Act@Play is a six-month gender equality, cultural change initiative that recognises the power that regional sporting clubs have to influence attitudes and beliefs about what is acceptable behaviour. The program supports clubs to develop welcoming and inclusive environments for everyone, with a focus on gender equality, through education and empowerment of leaders and members, on and off the field.

Recognising the power of sport as a vehicle for social good, Council wishes to support local sporting clubs to participate in Act@Play by offering two fully funded positions in the program. Sporting clubs located in Northern Grampians Shire that are committed to fostering an inclusive, family-focused club culture are encouraged to apply. Participation in Act@Play gives your Club the ability to attract and retain more members, volunteers and resources, and foster an environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and valued. If this sounds like your club, please submit an Expression of Interest via the link below.
