A Community Sponsorship is a partnership where the council supports a not-for-profit group or organisation with funding or other resources. In return, the council is recognised through things like having its name, brand, or services linked to the activity, program, or initiative.
Eligible groups/organisations can apply for a one-time sponsorship of up to $3,000 during the 2025–2026 financial year (July to June).
Council is focused on supporting initiatives that:
- Boost the livability and vibrancy of the Northern Grampians.
- Align with our community’s big-picture goals in the council plan and community strategies.
- Deliver outcomes in the key areas of:
* Events that celebrate and strengthen our shire
We’re looking for events that:

- Bring economic benefits to the shire
- Showcase what makes our shire special
- Give the community a chance to come together and connect
* Education & skills for young people
We support initiatives that:

- Help young people learn, grow, and build new skills.
- Encourage their involvement in community life.
- Celebrate their achievements.
* Encouraging participation in sport & recreation
We welcome initiatives that:

- Support skill development in sport or active recreation.
- Bring people together through inclusive and fun activities.
* Caring for the environment
We’re keen on initiatives that:

- Help our community become more resilient to ‘Big weather’ and disasters.
- Promote awareness, care, and action for the environment.
* Supporting local creativity & cultural identity
We encourage activities that:

- Get the community involved in arts, music, performance, or creative projects.
- Celebrate and strengthen our local culture.
* Promoting the shire to a wider audience
We’re interested in initiatives that:

- Positively promote our region
- Attract visitors or participants from outside the Northern Grampians Shire

Ways in which you can recognise Northern Grampians Shire Council for their Sponsorship include:
- Brand awareness for NGSC through Discover Northern Grampians collateral.
- Providing free tickets or experiences for the Councilors and/or staff.
- Providing access to social media channels or databases.
- Connecting your initiative with council priorities and key focus areas.
- Networking opportunities.
- Invitations to opening nights/celebrations.
